Bentec Electricals & Electronics Pvt. Ltd. situated in one of the industrial areas in Kolkata, started business two decades back. The company is located approximately 16Km from Howrah Station , 12Km from Sealdah Station, 40Km from Calcutta Airport and 8Km from Khidirpur Dock.

In 1988, the company started manufacturing its own KWH Meters of different range viz. 2.5 - 5 A to up to 40 A and supplied to valued customers like CESC Ltd., West Bengal State Electricity Board (W.B.S.E.B.), Assam State Electricity Board (A.S.E.B.), Tamil Nadu State Electricity Board (T.N.S.E.B.), Tripura Power Department (T.P.D.) and many others.

In the year 1995, Mr. Om Prakash Agarwal, Mr. Raj Kapoor Bhartia, Mr. Anup Bhartia and Mr. Kailash Chand Agarwal joined in the Board of Directors.
The factory is ISO 9002 certified and includes a modernized Machine Shop and Painting Shop. A Central Excise Bonded Ware House is also present inside the premises.

A Climate-controlled Testing & Final Inspection Line and an Assembly Line helps in manufacturing tested and error-free units. Keeping in view the company’s objective of keeping people secured , manufacturing of quality MCB’s, Isolators, DB’s were taken up at the Kasba Industrial unit. Incidentally this is the first such unit of MCB’s, Isolators, ELCB’s in eastern India.

These products have received approval from Railways, PWD Govt. of West Bengal, MES Eastern Region, E&C Headquarters Delhi, various Housing Boards and World Bank Projects for sustained quality standards. Today the company has a prestigious product line comprising Mai n Switch, Change Over Switch, Bus Bar, ELCBs, MCBs, Isolators , DB’s and Energy Meters.

Bentec also has a Research and Development Lab, which enable us to rapidly and profitably introduce new products of higher q uality in today's competitive market.
